Aretê is a comprehensive citizenship education project for young people aged 10 to 18 from socially vulnerable backgrounds, residing in communities in the state of Rio de Janeiro, during after-school hours.
The initiative understands citizenship education as integrating the educational, theoretical, civic, and behavioral dimensions, combining elements of classical culture with modern pedagogy.
The project aims to serve an estimated total of 80 young people over the course of a year, impacting the lives of at least 2,000 people directly and indirectly.
With this, the initiative aims to contribute to improving the educational performance of the beneficiaries, critical reflection on their social context, and practical intervention in reality, forming well-rounded citizens and future leaders in their communities.
