This work compiles contributions from participants of the 1st International Forum on Police Sciences (FICP), held in 2024 and organized by the Arrecife Institute. It was edited by Luiz Ramiro and published by Editora Jaguatirica. The launch took place on April 11th at Confraria Lajedo in Rio de Janeiro.
The newly released book, a result of the 1st International Forum on Police Sciences (FICP), held on March 22nd and 23rd, 2024, in Rio de Janeiro, compiles research and analysis on the main challenges currently faced by police sciences. The work emphasizes the importance of a predictive and flexible public security model capable of addressing the complexities of organized crime.
Organized by Luiz Ramiro, the book brings together contributions from renowned experts such as Eduardo Matos de Alencar, J. Pete Blair, José Eleutério, Eugenio Baldi, Hélio de Carvalho Freitas Filho, Lucélio Ferreira Martins, Faria França, Ricardo Matias Rodrigues, Fabrício Oliveira, Vanessa Marçolla, and Luiz Fernandes Dias Júnior. The topics covered include police training, artificial intelligence, transnational crime, and public security, providing a relevant discussion for professionals and scholars in the field.
FICP 2024 was promoted by the Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation of the State of Rio de Janeiro (SECTI-RJ), with scientific curation by the ARRECIFE Institute and funding from FAPERJ. The event also had the support and sponsorship of important institutions and companies, such as:
