The Arena do Direito – Criminal Law Congress 2026 will take place on November 13–14, 2026, at the Windsor Barra Hotel in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event aims to foster integration between law, criminal investigation, criminology, forensic science, technology and public security, bringing together legal professionals, researchers, professors, students and specialists to discuss contemporary issues and challenges in legal practice and operational activities.

With an interdisciplinary and immersive approach, the congress will feature keynote lectures, thematic panels, workshops, practical sessions and interactive activities. The program is designed to bridge academic knowledge and professional practice, encouraging discussions on real-world cases, investigative methods, evidence gathering and the application of law.

Program Highlights and Key Topics

The main stage, known as Arena 360°, will address topics including contemporary Criminal Law, applied criminology, information warfare, criminal policy, technology, cybersecurity and public security operations management.

Key subjects will include challenges in criminal investigation and forensic science, police intelligence, facial recognition, artificial intelligence, digital violence, stalking and criminal liability. The program will also feature demonstrations and legal dramatizations designed to explore scenarios related to criminal proceedings and law enforcement.

The event will also host parallel sessions in Room B, including a program dedicated to jury trials on November 13 and Social Security Law on November 14. These sessions will provide opportunities for specialized lectures, debates and discussions.

Business Exhibition and Networking

In addition to its academic program, Arena do Direito will feature a business exhibition and networking area for companies, publishers, management platforms, technology providers, legal technology firms (lawtechs) and service providers operating in the legal and public security sectors.
